Site Engineer – Elgin
Boyd Recruitment are recruiting a Site Engineer for a civil engineering and construction client who have a strong pipeline of work in the North of Scotland.
The Job
The successful Site Engineer will ensure all contract work is carried out in full compliance with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations while working to maximise the profitability of each contract under their control and ensuring the satisfaction of contractual requirements.
- Setting up and maintaining site control
- Setting out of roads, sewers and structures
- Ensuring compliance with works standards
- Review of Project Design and Specification
- Attend progress meetings
- Daily liaising with Engineering Manager, Contracts Manager and Site Supervisors
- Direct point of contact between the client and the company
- Receiving and assessing design changes from the client
- Facilitate agreement of variations
- Ensure adherence with the company Skills and Competence Policy and Procedures
- Organising labour, plant, and materials for several projects
- Undertaking Land, Stockpile and Construction Work Surveys
- Setting Out Sites and Organising Facilities
- Supervising Works
- Ensuring Projects Meet Agreed Specifications
- Liaising With Clients, Subcontractors and Other Professional Staff
- Checking and Preparing Site Reports, Designs and Drawings
- Providing Technical Advice; Problem Solving
- To attend Team Briefs
The Person
As Site Engineer you should have experience in a similar role and hold the following:
- CSCS card
- Driving Licence
- 1st Aid Appointed
- HNC/HND Civil Engineering
- SSSTS
