Site Engineer - Earthworks - 3D modelling

Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting a site engineer on a contract basis for a minimum of 6 - 8 month. Our client are a civils contractor who have been established within Scotland for over 40 years. 

with a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects across Scotland and the North of England. They have various revenue streams and find themselves in an extremely positive position moving into the coming years.

The ideal candidate will have a strong site engineering (earthworks and structures) background within civil engineering and a great understanding of ground modelling. 

The Opportunity

This post will suit an engineer that enjoys the technical aspects of ground modelling and interpreting CAD drawings. 

The project includes:

• 8000 m3 of earthworks (removal) 
• 35M bridge installation, this is a precast structure, abutment and formwork installation

the successful candidate will have: 

• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on QA control
• Good organisational skills
• Produce ground modelling surveys
• Ability to read technical AutoCAD drawings
• Ability to use 3D modelling software Trimble or equivalent
• Advise on technical details of construction
