Site / Measurement Engineer

Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Site / Measurement Engineer to join a major windfarm project in South Lanarkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Engineer with strong setting-out and measurement experience to work on a large-scale renewable energy project.

The Role

Working as part of the site delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of civil engineering works across the windfarm project.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Setting out and surveying civil engineering works using relevant surveying equipment.
• Carrying out site measurements and producing accurate quantity information.
• Taking measurements for earthworks, drainage, roads, foundations and other civil works.
• Checking works against drawings, specifications and design requirements.
• Assisting with the preparation of measurement sheets, records and site documentation.
• Monitoring levels, coordinates and setting-out information.
• Liaising with Site Agents, Sub Agents, Foremen and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered correctly.
• Recording and reporting site progress and quantities.
• Assisting with QA documentation and maintaining accurate site records.
• Identifying discrepancies between drawings, site conditions and works being undertaken.

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer within civil engineering.
• Strong experience with site measurement and quantity recording.
• Experience working on windfarm, utilities, roads, earthworks or other major infrastructure projects.
• Competence in setting out and surveying.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Relevant CSCS qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy site environment.

Project

You will be joining a large-scale windfarm development in South Lanarkshire, working alongside an experienced project and site team.
