Quantity Surveyor – North Lanarkshire

Boyd Recruitment are currently working alongside an Engineering Contractor who are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor.

My client is looking for ambitious individuals who will be confident and comfortable in a client facing role, dealing with main contractors across a broad spectrum of sectors including residential and commercial projects.

The Job

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the management team working closely with office and site-based teams, responsible for:
• Conducting valuations, preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Managing project budgets and advising on procurement strategy
• Performing risk, value management, and cost control
• Overseeing all stages of construction to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and budget
• Collaborating with project managers and site managers to meet project objectives

The Person

This role is perfect for a Quantity Surveyor with over 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, who is looking to take their career to the next level.
• Relevant professional certifications and qualifications in Quantity Surveying
• Strong understanding of construction processes, procurement strategies, and risk management
• Excellent negotiation, financial, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
