Freelance Site Engineer (Working away from home)

Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting a freelance Site Engineer for a Civils Contractor who have a large water project in the West of Scotland. Ferry & accommodation provided. 

Working every second weekend with 12-hour shifts Monday to Friday and 10.5-hours Saturday & Sunday.

They are currently looking to add a Site Engineer for 4 months minimum to enable successful delivery of a high value water project where Marine experience would be beneficial. 

The Job

The requirements of the Site Engineer position are as follows:

• General site supervision
• Setting out line and level
• QA checks/pro-formas for concrete, piling, ducting etc
• Site Inductions
• Review sub-contractor measures against progress on site
• Maintain detailed site records/diary
• Daily briefing/liaison with operatives and sub-contractors            
• Site material and plant orders/requisitions
• Document/drawing control including uploads
