Boyd Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor for an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee a variety of Scottish Power projects across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering critical infrastructure works. Due to the nature of the projects, working away from home will be required from time to time, with accommodation and expenses provided where applicable.
The Role
As Construction Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of building and construction works across multiple Scottish Power sites. You will ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety while managing site teams, subcontractors and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations across multiple Scottish Power projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company and client procedures.
- Maintain high standards of quality, programme delivery and site documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks and progress meetings.
- Liaise with clients, engineers and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture on site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager delivering building/construction projects.
- Strong background managing construction works from start to completion.
- SMSTS qualification is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home when project requirements demand.
